BACKGROUND
I am a 28-year-old man from Canada. I’ve been writing and self-publishing fiction since 2019. I decided to venture into erotica under the new pen name Uniquely Vanilla in 2025 to free myself from the creative restraints I had faced in other genres.
HIGH CONCEPT, CEREBRAL EROTICA
My goal is to write unorthodox erotic fiction in diverse, novel scenarios, combining vivid storytelling with imaginative worldbuilding. I like subverting cliches and exploring bonding through shared vulnerability. Along with erotica and romance, I work across and blend genres such as absurdism, science fiction, horror, adventure, and fantasy.
Like with sex, I would get easily bored writing the same content over and over again. So, I am always experimenting with new ideas. Variety is the spice of life.

What inspired your pen name?
Nothing in particular. It is a play on words. Uniquely means non-conventional circumstances and vanilla means conventional sexuality.

I self-publish my stories on Patreon and other platforms.
Do you plan to make other kinds of content?
I am very curious about experimenting with different mediums, such as visual novels and other interactive content. For now, I aim to fill up my portfolio with stories and flesh out a unique fantasy world. But who knows what the future has in store!
Are all your stories erotica?
Not all my stories fit neatly under the genre of erotica, but all contain erotic or sexual elements and are exclusively for adult readers.

I take inspiration from my dreams, fantasies, and, yes, my real-life experiences too.
Have you written under other pen names before?
Yes, but this is my only active one. And I am not disclosing past ones.
